S(t)imulation.Zone (2021) by CROSSLUCID is a project curated for and in collaboration with a Kyiv’s new space ∄, encompassing a hyperlinked website embedded in their extensive research field on the topic of digital intimacy.
This evolving exercise aims to provide a fine-lined visual compass in a sensual quest for blended orgasms, submerged in the sea of virtual nodes, suggestive landscapes of collaged bodies, 3D objects and tactile textures, an online collection of critical and informative resources and simultaneously an entry point for further inspiration and playful explorations.
S(t)imulation.Zone wants to create an open sphere to deconstruct the assimilated social structures on sexuality and gender, to transmit a positive message on sex and the erotic, to defy body politics and to transverse the idea of intimacy, questioning erroneous stereotypes on sex and different gender expressions.
The website features a wide array of artists, collectives, writers, platforms and queer initiatives eg. Institute of Queer Ecology, Future of Sex, Queering the Map, Glitch Feminism and Queer AI amongst others, becoming a voluptuous source of erotically charged journey, a way not only to connect but to find conjunction with each other in these - both formative and combustive - times.
The visitors are invited and highly encouraged to interact with the touch screens and cruise the website’s content through physical interaction.
